hSET

(hydroponics)

The hSET concept is developed for indoor (greenhouse) applications. For hydroponic cultivation we are currently building different business cases, focusing on the validation by applied research on various crops together with established partners.

High density hydroponics crops are commonly grown on peat, which has a negative environmental impact. Decomposition of peat results in soil subsidence, loss of mineralized nutrients and high emissions of CO2 and N2O. On top of that the logistic costs and decreasing supply of peat make the industry look for more sustainable alternatives of substrate. hSET is such an alternative.

Our hSET technology can increase the yield in capex intensive indoor infrastructures by increasing the yield due to a faster, uniform and consistent germination process. hSET is a clean and sterile growth medium, bio based and fully biodegradable, so no issues with disposal.

The alternative for
eco-unfriendly growth media.
